Birthdays are not about getting older, birthdays are all about celebrating another year that you have been healthy and alive, experiencing the world that much more and having the best company around you day in and day out. Some people may disagree saying that a particular year had not been so good for them, or that they have not had the best friends or perfect job, but that may happen at any moment to anyone. We all go through rough patches in life, we all learn how to deal with them and how to move on and be stronger than we ever were before. I may not have had a perfect year, but I have had a successful year and I have grown wiser with every experience I've gone through and I am more than grateful for everything life has thrown at me. Gratitude is the best attitude, and I am overflowing with it at the moment.
For all my birthdays I have had small gatherings and never celebrated much, this year I wanted to make an extra effort and to make sure everyone I know has just as much fun as I did. I decided on having a gathering at Club Level 22 at Portomaso Tower, it's more of a lounge rather than a club for the people that haven't been yet. It was a relaxing night full of socialising because it so happens that I have many friends from different walks of life, it was nice to see everyone talk and mingle altogether. Surprisingly enough, I also fell in love with my cake. Ordered from Maypole, I got a Red Velvet Schoolcake with buttercream in the middle and icing on top. I had a wonderful night to say the least and thank everyone for making it what it was, most importantly for Fred for giving me his unconditional love always being there for me and supporting me through thick and thin.
For all the style and fashion addicts on the blog, I had worn a Miss Selfridge velvet dress with a gold glitter triangular pattern. Shoes from Gauda, Jewellery from New Look and Swarovski. I got my hair done at Hair by...Roxanne in San Gwann and had help from my very own artistic hand for my make up.
Here are a few snaps from the night. Thanks to Kira Drury for the photography. Check out her photography here.
