I had the privilege of attending the Jimmy Choo Opening Party at SARTO last night with a few stylish friends. It was nice to see so many familiar faces from Malta Fashion Week while sipping on some Martini Royale and gazing at the lovely Parisian 'Marie Antoinette' themed mannequins and desserts! It is exciting to see just how creative every SARTO event is. It is unique in concept, and what did we find at yesterday's event? We found shoes in the mannequin's hair on their heads, just because it's different and simply : Why not? Here are a couple of pictures I took that night, hopefully they can represent the event and most importantly, the luxury brand in the best possible way. This Saturday I will be having a very different shoot to usual, so stick around for updates, you won't want to miss this!

I have been doing so many events and product/advertising photography lately that I have somewhat left my portrait and fashion on the side. Here are some behind-the-scenes shots from my latest shoot with Finnish model and fashion designer, Mari, being clothed by Pavli the stylist and done up by new and upcoming make up artist, Sandra. We shot at a mesmerising location in the south of Malta - Delimara. The overcast sky, weathered stone and wild seas really gave the shoot a great atmosphere for a borderline Summer/Autumn look.

At last, this album has been completed for Make Up by Sands, and I am more than happy to share the photos with you. I am loving the violet lips most of all, I remember my mum had the perfect shade of violet lipstick in the 90s, I'm on a mission to find the exact same colour, shade, hue, shimmer, matte-ness of this lipstick that I remember from my childhood. Besides the lips, I really liked the way Sandra uses the colours on Anastasia's eyes - yellow shadow with black liner on the top, white liner on the inner eye at the bottom and a hint of blue at the edge... very complimentary, making the colours work great together. Can't wait to see what she will come up with next.

Is it incredibly embarrassing to admit that this was the first time I had been to Comino? Gosh, I can't believe I had not found time to go sooner! I had been very close to visiting the island when I was on a boat party two years ago with my brother and his friends. The boat took us around Malta and Comino, so it did stop in the waters of the Blue Lagoon at 11pm shining its bright lights through the crystal sea, however I had never actually touched 'Comino soil', so this was my first time. It was the most beautiful thing - swimming around in the clear blue waters.
