We're living in a world down under

16:29

Here are a few snaps of Camila and I visiting the beach on a hot Summer day in Sliema. Even though the idea of the underwater world is beautiful and inspiring, I have always been terrified of what lies in the ocean. Perhaps because of what the creatures look like, perhaps of how they move, or maybe even because of the way they smell. Whatever the reason is, I was just not used to these living things however this day was a turning point for me. Camila enjoys sea urchin hunting. Now, when she first proposed this idea, I was already rolling my eyes at the thought of even seeing something prickly in the sea, let alone letting it move across my hand. Well, I decided to put my fears aside and when Camila caught a sea urchin from down under, I gave in and held it. I stared at it for a couple of seconds... just seeing if it will randomly attack me and pierce my hand and kill me with invisible poison. It didn't. I was very happy. Camila handed me goggles, a snorkel and a fork, and down I went picking up one sea urchin after another.
