This weekend was packed with picking up my MFWA pass, hanging out with Pavli at Gugar and attending the private opening of Malta Design Week at Fort St. Elmo in Valletta.
WITH THE MFWA PHOTOGRAPHERS
The Media Pass is quite different from last year's from what I can remember. Last year's was laminated and it also had our name/photo while this year's does not, however the design is more conventional. I will be heading to another conference meeting for Malta Fashion Week on Wednesday evening to discuss some details, and as for Thursday, there is going to be the private launch at Medasia Fusion Lounge. In 2013 the launch was absolutely fantastic, I met so many wonderful people and the food and drinks were to die for! This year's is going to be even better so I absolutely can't wait! but you will definitely be hearing all about my excitement on Thursday's post!
On another note entirely, many people assume that I only photograph fashion, however I am here to say that I actually take photos of pretty much anything. A couple of days ago I had taken a few pictures of a beautiful, blue-eyed, baby girl named Gaia. I'll be honest here - I do get quite nervous at times with young children because it all depends on their mood, the less you move them about the better, and forget about flash. Use it once - they'll be crying forever. I was pleasantly surprised when Gaia was actually posing for me and smiling as much as she could, absolutely adorable! Check out a few photos I took below!
This Tuesday, I am attending two exhibitions in Valletta, The Lines of Flight metal art exhibition by Marie Louise Kold at St. James Cavalier as well as the INFORM exhibition at Blitz (St. Lucy's Street) which is a satellite event of Malta Design Week 2014 as stated on their official page. The latter has many artists involved including : Alexander White, Alicja Patanowsk, Cristina Vezzini, Kane Cali, Landon Peck and Chen Sheng Tsang. Go and have a look at these two exhibitions if you have the time from now till the 24th, there has been quite a hype and they have both been reviewed highly in newspapers and online. Until my excitement on Thursday, much love :) X
